COVID-19 Trip From Virginia to Hawaii...14 Days Quarantine.

MY TRIP FROM VIRGINIA TO HAWAII DURING COVID-19

I went to Virginia to spent time with my family over there. When I mean family (my mother, father, 

my two sisters and a brother). I was there for four months. So my four months duration came and 

duty calls, I got to go back to work (Hawaii) that's where I reside. Due to this world pandemic crisis 

(COVID-19), I was scared traveling but I prepared fully by having my two face masks and a lot of 

gloves that I can change frequently during my journey. Hopefully the trip was successful, I took Delta


airline, and the air hostesses were awesome. They made the trip easy for me. There was only one 

person per row in the plane. Social distancing worked in the plane. Everyone had their face mask on. 

During my arrival, at the entrance of the terminal, there were soldiers and police officers who 

checked our temperature and let us fill some forms to make sure we abide by the fourteen days 

quarantine for all travelers, enforced by the law. From the airport, I took lyft to my residence. When I 

arrived home, there was no way I could go out to even do grocery. So I sat down and made a grocery 

list of essential stuffs I'll need during my stay home for the fourteen days quarantine. I called a friend 

and I sent her my grocery list through text message and told her if she can do me this big favor by 

getting these stuffs for me. She really surprised me by getting all the things I needed. She dropped 

them off at my doorsteps and called me to pick them up. I really appreciate what she did because it is 

not everyone who will expose themselves like that due to this pandemic crisis (COVID-19) going on 

right now. 

However, am prepared now to stay home and being mentally safe and stress free because I got all that

I need during this fourteen days quarantine.
